PROJECTS

Since I'm currently focused on start-ups, this project page outlines some of my work with small organizations. If you'd like to hear more about my work with large organizations, feel free to contact me!

Latest Projects

BORDER CROSSERS: The team signed me on during a major organizational shift where their founder was stepping down from running the non-profit. This led to drastic changes in the program. Eventually I was asked to join their Board of Directors as their Fundraising Chair. Together we created a sustainable and effective grassroots business model that shapes more equitable learning communities.

DREAM WORKSHOP: The Founder / CEO wanted to expand her tutoring business to provide fun learning tools and games to teach children about science and technology. I worked on their business plan, performing market sizing, competitor analysis, and a target market needs assessment. We also worked together to develop and test products.

PROJECT SPARK: In order to inject funds into socially responsible organizations around the world we first had to raise those funds and find worthy applicants. I managed events and donor relations, using cause-based marketing strategies to create awareness and raise funds. Later I contacted organizations and conducted due diligence to vet the returns they could yield.

Testimonials

Border Crossers contracted Rachelle to do strategic planning through Net Impact and she has served as such an asset to our organization.

From the beginning, she has done a great job identifying the competencies and challenges facing the organization and working with the staff and Board of Directors to organize them into strategic action steps. Border Crossers was going through a unique transition and Rachelle did a great job of wrapping her mind around all the moving pieces and providing useful and timely information along the way.

Jaime-Jin Lewis, Executive Director of Border Crossers

Rachelle undertook her assignment with great confidence and planned her strategy with detail and focus. She arranged interviews with key contributors and extracted very useful information, showing she had used a wide variety of questions and techniques. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.
Jim Gilbourne, CEO of Mission Housing Association Ltd.
